A summary of the article “How do we feed the world without destroying the planet? Bob Geldof” 

The article is about one of the global problems of hunger. In the text, Bob Geldof emphasizes that it is the “most awful expression of poverty”. He reminds us that global hunger has been decreasing and we make a huge step toward establishing life. The author points out the merits of governments and international organizations. On the other hand, he admits that on World Food Day 820 people were hungry, in comparison it is the population of the US. Readers are aware of hunger as a global issue. The main point is how we feed the world without destroying it. Bob Geldof comments: “food production is a major cause of climate change”. It means that food is closely related to farms, forests, etc. The author elucidates that the German government held the event, which will be dedicated to the solution. The members of this event will discuss agriculture and food security programs.

As for me, I learned about this problem a lot and this article helps me understand and realize the whole terrible situation. In addition, I was so pleased to read that the Guardian will report about the organization’s progress. I hope that one day we won’t have such a problem at all.

Introduction  Hello everyone!  My name is Elnara. I am nineteen years old. I study at Novosibirsk State University on the linguistic faculty. I am from Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan. I know English, Russian, Kazakh and German languages. I am fond of travelling. It gives a lot of outstanding emotions and motivation to work harder. Another hobby is volleyball. I have been playing volleyball since 4-th grade. I am really into volunteerism. We have a special university organization “Volunteer NSU” which  greet foreigners, help with adaptation(buy sim-card, registration of papers, exchange money, etc.) Also, I have to organize some university events.
